Planning permission granted for 20,000 sqm of new-build space: Periskop Logistics secures two planning consents for the intensification of a site in Pohlheim (Rhine-Main region)
1.9.2026

Planning permission has been granted by the building control authority of the Gießen district for two new logistics facilities on the site at “Am Pfahlgraben 4–10, 35415 Pohlheim”. With these planned new developments, the Periskop Logistics Fund is continuing its strategy of creating value within its existing portfolio. Space is currently still available and occupier requirements can be taken into account.
The two projects will comprise approximately 12,000 and 8,000 sqm respectively and will meet the latest technical and environmental standards.
“With the planning consents obtained for Pohlheim, we are laying the foundations for a modern and sustainable logistics scheme in the heart of Hesse,”
says Dr Kilian Mahler, Managing Partner at Periskop Logistics.
“The central location in the Rhine-Main region offers optimal distribution opportunities and ideal conditions for companies with regional or national logistics networks.”
Attractive location with excellent connectivity
The site is located directly on the A5 motorway in the Rhine-Main region, one of Europe’s most important logistics clusters. The units are visible from the motorway and offer excellent access to key cities and markets. Gießen can be reached in just a few minutes, while Frankfurt am Main and other economic centres in the region also benefit from very good transport links.
“With the Pohlheim site, we are targeting companies that are looking for modern, sustainable and flexibly configurable space,”
adds Philipp Loth, Director Logistics & Light Industrial.
“The design by Goldbeck enables economically efficient, ESG-compliant solutions that meet the highest occupier requirements.”
Space available for prospective occupiers from 2027
Practical completion is scheduled for 2027. Companies from the logistics, e-commerce, manufacturing or light industrial sectors are invited to contact the Periskop Logistics team with immediate effect.
